Safe Schools; Healthy Students; Strong Community Activity Night
Monday, April 8 6:30 to 8:00 PM
Vermilion High School is sponsoring Safe Schools; Healthy Students; Strong Community - a fun, interactive program for parents, students and residents to promote understanding about how the affects of substance abuse, bullying and mental health are related to school safety.
The evening will include:
- Information about the Olweus Bullying Prevention program that is in use throughout the school district.
- An ODOT driving simulator that will demonstrate the results of distracted driving
- Information about mental health issues that may lead to school violence, and prevention strategies that are available to students, parents and community members.
School safety and drug prevention is important to keeping Vermilion a great place to live. Please join the festivities and learn how you can help create a safe school district and community.
