On Friday, February 5th, students and staff at VIS wore red to show their support for The American Heart Association. All across the nation on this day, people wore red to show support for women and the fight against heart disease. Heart disease is the #1 killer of women.
Teachers also gave $5 to help show their support. This donation was given on behalf of South Street, VIS and Sailorway schools. This amount is going towards VIS's fundraising efforts this year and will be given to the AHA.
Thank you to everyone who participated. It was amazing to see a "sea" of red.
