A message from our superintendent:
On behalf of the Vermilion Board of Education, students, and staff, we would like to welcome you to our district website.
We are very proud of our school programs that enhance the lives of learners of all ages. There are valuable programs that assist parents raising their infants, full day - every day Kindergarten, high quality classroom instruction, college level courses taught in our high school, and adult education classes for mature citizens to earn their GED.
The product of collaborative work is yielding award winning accomplishments. Our high school has won the "Gold Award" from the High Schools that Work program, placing us among the top high schools in the nation. VHS also consistently earns an "Excellent" rating from the Ohio Department of Education - no high school in Ohio, public or private, is rated higher. At the elementary level, Vermilion Intermediate School has won the "High Achievement Award" which is given to the top 5% of Ohio schools making the most rapid academic progress over a three year period. As a district, we have had five consecutive years of increasing student attendance, student achievement, and graduation rate. All of these are now at historically high levels for our district. This profile of success is one reason why Vermilion is the proud recipient of the "What Parents Want" award, which is given to only the top 15% of all school districts in the nation.

As you can see our website has a new look to it. Please consider all of the website to be a work in progress. The Technology Department works on these pages in our free time and they take a long time to complete.
