Welcome to the newly formed Vermilion Local Schools Technology Department
Our mission is to provide vision and support to the technology needs of Vermilion Local Schools.

Shawn and I have been busy since I took over in late June. The district is putting the finishing touches on a new phone system as well as a new network backbone that will provide faster and more reliable network services to the district. Currently we are installing new fiber-optic cables between the high school to the South Street/VIS campus.
We are working on some other changes here in the district. At some point soon we will be building a new computer lab in the upper atrium at SMS. This lab will be a unified project with the business operations and maintenance departments to provide a great lab in a great location. We are looking to incorporate new ideas into this lab to really make it a teacher's lab setting. I have been consulting with various teachers to get their ideas on it's layout.
